In order to celebrate the New Year (5781) in style: honey, apples, pomegranates, challah, wine, etc., GuitarVista will be closing at 4:00 pm on September 18th and reopening at noon on September 22nd. Have a safe, healthy, and peaceful New Year. Shana Tova!
"GuitarVista in the Time of the Plague" In order to provide ourselves and our customers the safest possible environment, our protocols moving forward will change as follows: We are encouraging folks to call and make an appointment to see the instruments that they are interested in looking at and we will let one customer in at a time. Please limit the number of instruments you would like to play to two or three. Calling ahead to let us know you are coming by will help us attend to all our customers in a timely fashion. Drop offs, deliveries, and completed instrument repairs or set-ups, will not be subject to the aforementioned framework. Small goods, strings, and other accessories will be available at curbside in front of the shop. Thank you for your continued patronage and your patience as we navigate our way forward. 'Here's Looking at You, Kid' Stan Burg GuitarVista 3117 Silver Ave. SE Abq., NM 87106 (505) 268-1133 gitmaven@yahoo.com
Friends and Neighbors! In order to re-charge our batteries, as my mother used to say, the shop will be closed until August the first. We will be answering the phone, though, and returning all emails. See you in a week! Stan
It's the afternoon of our first real day back, in the shop. And as befits our Karma, we received wonderful shipments of guitars and mandolins from Eastman and steel string guitars from Guild and classical guitars from Cordoba. All I can observe is that Hannukah came in May this year! Folks have been calling for appointments and wearing their facial coverings. What more could I ask for? Nada!
Salutations. On Tuesday, the 19th of May, we will be reopening the shop on a limited basis. Hours have been readjusted and will now be from Noon to Five, Tuesday through Friday and Eleven to Five on Saturdays. Through the summer we believe that we will be on an appointment only basis. As wonderful as it is to listen to and participate in spontaneous jams, that won't be happening in the shop soon. Also, following the Coronavirus protocols, we will all be masked and we'll operate at 'safe distances' from each other. I'm really looking forward to catching up with friends and customers. Stay safe and healthy, so we can have good times down the road.
We've been really occupied, as have you been, with staying safely healthy. When we do get the shop operating again, I'm sure that wearing facemasks and washing hands (often) and staying yards away from each other will be the newest normalized behaviors. Until then, I have been coming in every day to check on the humidifiers and visit with my instrumental companions. My opinion is that they miss human interaction. Only saying. I have been answering emails and phone calls. It warms the cockles of my heart to know that so many care about my well being and the health of GuitarVista. What a wonderful community !! See you sooner than later. Be well.
After careful thought and consultation, GuitarVista will operate on a By Appointment Only Model. We do love browsers and drop ins, but until the end of 2020 (at least), without a phone call (505-268-1133) or an email (gitmaven@yahoo.com), into the shop, you won't be coming. Of course, all patrons are required to have a mask and to use hand sanitizer at the door. No exceptions. That said, please call or email and keep yourselves safe! It will be A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood AGAIN !
A very joyous Holiday Season to all! The shop is sticking to the proviso that appointments will be honored before drop-ins. That said, folks are welcome to continue with curbside drop offs and pick ups. "Two-by Two" is our guiding principle. Certainly looking forward to catching up, visiting, and listening to great music as the vaccines got distributed and folks got healthy. Remember: be masked and preserve your secret identity! Best wishes to all, your most local of guitar shops.
GuitarVista wishes all our friends a safe and joyous holiday. We'll be open Dec 21st-Dec 24th, from 11 am until 6 pm. We'll be closed on the 25th and 26th, so the we can continue to catch our breaths! We will also be open the week running up to New Year's Eve, Dec 28th-Dec 31st, but from noon until five, our regular hours. We will be closed on the 1st and 2nd of January 2021! Please stay safe and healthy, so that 2021 will have a chance to live up to our hopes. Shalom Y'all!
Put Covid-19 on Standby: Make more music and give pandemic fatigue A rest.
Friends and Neighbors, GuitarVista will be closed on Friday, March 12th. We can connect next week. Be well.
