In the downtime here we have been reviewing infection control practices, training, as well as introducing significant new measures (air filtration, personal protective equipment, barriers, operations and flow) to maintain safety for patients and staff.

While this newest mandate has temporarily closed many businesses, it has not affected access and delivery of healthcare, including Dentistry. The Center for Disease Control released a statement in the hours following Governor Newsom’s announcement clarifying that all dental treatment, including both elective and non-elective procedures, may continue as usual. This announcement was made with the clear understanding that a healthy immune system relies on a healthy oral environment.

We are fielding daily inquires regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and availability from the dentist.
At this time the governor has approved Dentists to administer the vaccine, however no vaccines have been distributed at this time. I have completed the necessary training and jumped through (hopefully) all the legislative hoops to be a vaccine provider. For now, l be giving the vaccine at various Covid-19 sites as a weekend volunteer doctor to the public. When and if we receive the vaccine for office use we will make this info available to our patients.
