***Berkshire Humane Dogs of the Week *** Bologna is a 6- year-old black and tan mix and his buddy is a 7-year-old fawn and white male, Wonder Bread. They came to Berkshire Humane Society because their elderly owner could no longer take care of them. This pair is bonded (hence their names) and we’d like to adopt them out together. They are skittish at first, but will warm up to you with time. Their previous owner did not use leashes or collars, so those are new to them. Bologna and Wonder Bread aren’t puppies, but they do play together in the fenced-in pen at the shelter. We’re hoping someone will adopt these dogs, small in stature but big on personality, soon!

On Wednesday our General Sales Manager Ben got to greet 42 rescue puppies from an overcrowded Alabama Shelter! These puppies made a 4 hour flight. Berkshire Humane Society will be housing 31 of these adorable puppies and helping them find loving homes! Haddad Subaru provided vehicles to help transport the pups from Pittsfield Municipal Airport to a shelter on Downing Industrial. These sweet girls came up from Mississippi on our recent transport because their owner had died. Berkshire Humane Society - Haddad Subaru Dog of the Week! Daisy is a six-year-old spayed treeing walker coonhound who was surrendered to Berkshire Humane Society because she did not get along with other dogs in the household. Daisy may look like a beagle, but she is taller and wider – at almost 90 pounds she needs some exercise to lose some weight! Like many treeing walker coonhounds, Daisy loves to romp around outside and then come inside and cuddle in comfort. She should go to a home without other dogs or small children, but cats may be OK. I had my eye on a particular model, but after talking with Eli about the features that I was looking for and my lifestyle, he suggested I also look at the Subaru Crosstrek. I test drove it and I couldn’t believe how he had recommended the perfect vehicle for me. The purchase process was smooth, and Josh was also great in helping me determine financing and insurance options. Eli also spent almost an hour with me going over all of the features in the car and on the mobile app. My overall experience was not as stressful as I had thought it would be. Remi is a 6-year-old pit bull terrier mix who was surrendered because her owners could not take care of her. This sweet dog is a bit shy of men, but warms up to everyone she meets. Because of Remi’s size and energy, she should not go to a home with children under the age of 10. She would do best without other dogs and she has not been cat-tested yet.
