It’s taken 3 1/2 years to grow my hair out to this length after finishing chemo in April 2016. When my wonderful hairstylist told me it would take that long, I did not believe him, and of course I should have! Always trust your stylist, lol. Yes I dye my greys but I put in the pink bec it just makes me happy. When I was a teen, my mom, in one of those oh so careless moments that parents can have, told me I would be nothing without my hair (I had very long thick lustrous hair) and she was right. Without my hair, I went back to square 1 and I was able to turn something I hid behind for years and got to experiment with different looks and colors in a way I never would have had I kept my hair. Sometimes it takes losing something to make you have a new appreciation of something long taken for granted. If you’re in Brooklyn, hit me up and I’ll send you to my awesome stylist.

It’s holiday hair time! In this video, KMS National Artist Shannon King shares his tips and tricks on how-to create some beautiful and festive silhouettes. The icing on the cake? Each finish is topped off with KMS Style Color, a temporary color spray that he uses to create movement, sparkle, fun and ombre finishes. Here King introduces three new shades (there are 12!): Velvet Berry, Nude Peach and Inked Blue - using all three on his models to accent the holiday looks.
