Hajir E. Dilmanian, MD, is the director of echocardiography at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and a clinical professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Dilmanian is a noninvasive cardiologist who specializing in cardiovascular diseases and nuclear cardiology and sees patients with conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, and atrial fibrillation. His areas of interest include structural heart disease and cardiac epidemiology. He also treats ALS, aortic aneurysm, coronary artery disease, hyperlipidemia, mitral valve prolapse, and aids patients in smoking cessation.
Dr. Dilmanian has been named a Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctor for more than six years in a row, a top doctor for the New York Metro Area from 2016 to present, and by New York magazine and Schneps Communications. He has contributed research to publications in the field of echocardiology and cardiology and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography, and a registered physician in vascular interpretation.
After graduating from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Dr. Dilmanian served both his internship and residency at New York University Medical Center. He served his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at New York Medical College and Westchester Medical Center. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
