We at Hammerschmidt, Amaral & Jonas place the utmost value on the wellbeing of our clients, our employees and our community. In these difficult times, we want you to know that we will continue to be available to meet your legal needs. To assist in our country’s effort to maintain the physical distancing necessary to stop further spread of the corona virus, we have made the responsible choice to work remotely to continue to serve your legal needs. The Indiana courts have greatly limited activity, and our lawyers and staff will make all appearances necessary to continue progress on pending legal matters. While we are not scheduling in-person meetings at this time, we remain available by telephone and email. We will return to normal operations when we’re told by public health officials that it is safe to do so.
We can be reached through normal office telephone numbers and via the following email addresses:

R. William Jonas, Jr. rwj@hajlaw.com
Luann Lackner lrl@hajlaw.com

PROGRAMMING UPDATE
After much consideration, we have decided to cancel all programs and meeting room bookings through April 18. All SJCPL Branches will remain open for regularly scheduled hours at this time.
We are hoping to reschedule programming when possible. We are also exploring ways to bring storytimes, book groups, and other Library programming to you virtually. Stay tuned for updates.
If you prefer not to visit the library in person at this time, you may access to our large digital collection from home. Visit sjcpl.org to check out eBooks, audiobooks, music, movies, and magazines. Learn about local history on Michiana Memory. Take an online course, read the news or dig into a database.
