Hand surgery is a comprehensive specialty. All aspects of the upper extremity involving the skin, muscles, tendons, bones, joints, nerves and blood vessels are within the expertise of the hand surgeon.
All of the hand surgeons at Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center of New Jersey are Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeons. They have also completed one additional year of Fellowship Training in Hand Surgery. They have received the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
The treatments used by our hand surgeons may be surgical or non-surgical. After a comprehensive evaluation of the problem, a full explanation of treatment options is given to the patient.
Surgery may require sophisticated microsurgery, repair of fractures, tendon and nerve lacerations, arthroscopy, reconstructive procedures, arthroplasties or joint fusions.
