♥️We wanted to share an update on how well the fundraiser went and how our Warrior Xena is doing♥️ Thank you again to all the friends and families that helped make this such a success!
Xena is doing well. They decreased some of her sedation yesterday, so she can respond better to touch and sound. She is still on the LVAD to assist the left side of the heart work more efficiently & will remain on it until she receives a new heart. She is still on the ventilator and as far as I know, they have decided not to take her off (that may change in the future). Her chest is closed back up and she’s handling that well, her lungs are a bit clearer! She has been responding well these last couple of days, she did receive a blood transfusion today. Her heart rate and blood pressure are where it’s supposed to be these last two days. Right now, no intense news to report. She has been stable on the machines and medications these past couple days!
