Often times when someone is searching for a service or product, they will ask friends or family for recommendations - and may even search for online reviews. Positive online reviews can help individuals make difficult decisions.
If our agency has cared for your loved one, would you consider posting an online review? Letting others know about our compassionate care and service is one way to share your story and the story of your loved one during one of the most precious and sacred times of life.
To post an online review, go to your search engine browser on your cell phone or laptop, and type in "Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice." Our agency name will pop up with a picture of our downtown Wichita building along with our phone and address. Click on “Reviews.” On the page that follows you will see an option for a star rating. After you select a star rating, there will be the opportunity to write your message.
Thank in advance for considering posting an online review for our agency. It is warmly appreciated.

As the #COVID19 global pandemic continues, so does the nation’s opioid epidemic. The American Medical Association (AMA) has issued a brief showing 40 U.S. states reported increases in opioid-related mortality. This comes in addition to ongoing concerns for those with a mental illness or substance use disorder.
To help crush the crisis, Wesley Healthcare is supporting the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA’s national take back day by collecting unused and expired prescription medication.
Clean out your medicine cabinets and come by on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10am - 2pm. Learn more: https://bit.ly/2TbHnv1.

United Way has teamed up with the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy for Operation Immunization, a free flu shot clinic for those who are unemployed, uninsured or unable to pay. This annual partnership empowers local pharmacy students to gain leadership skills by coordinating and operating the clinic while also learning how to administer immunizations under the supervision of licensed and certified pharmacists. United Way funds the vaccines. Collaborations like this one strengthen the health and wellbeing of our community.
If you or someone you know needs a flu shot, these clinic locations will be open Saturday, October 17, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.:
• Evergreen Recreation Center, 2700 N. Woodland

A special thank you to the Newton Chapter and their DAR’s Day of Service where they made “no-sew” blankets for veterans served by Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 with the mission of promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism. Under DAR’s mission of patriotism, Newton Chapter Members enjoy volunteering and providing resources for Kansas Veterans. It is their hope that these blankets will serve as token of appreciation for all these individuals and their families have sacrificed.
We believe everyone should have access to compassionate hospice care as they approach their end-of-life journey. Visit hynesmemorial.org for more information. #webelieve
