Here at Harvest, it’s been a year of celebrating #hungerheroes. This week, Kicker 102.5 KKYR and Schlotszky’s celebrated our very own Camille Coker Wrinkle and other local #UnsungHeroes who have gone above and beyond during the pandemic. Nominated by individuals in the community, they recognized Camille and the team for continuing to provide food to hungry children, families and seniors at a time when it’s been needed most. We are very proud of Camille and the hope provided to our region through hunger relief. #harvestgood
We continue to be blessed with a community who has a heart for those in need during these tough times. Thank you to everyone who helped with our mobile pantry yesterday at Four States Fair & Rodeo, where we served over 900 families, and thank you to everyone currently helping at our mobile pantry at T&P Trail Head Park in New Boston today. Our work is possible because of you, our #hungerheroes 💪 #harvestgood
One of the upsides of 2020 has been the new friendships made, like Brentwood Industries in Hope. These tough times are possible because of our caring community! #harvestgood
Our local Albertsons stores in Texarkana have started their #turkeybucks program to benefit families in need this Holiday season! Visit either Albertsons location (3710 N State Line, Texarkana, AR and 4415 W 7th St, Texarkana, TX) and purchase "Turkey Bucks" at checkout to help food insecure families in our area enjoy a full holiday meal this Thanksgiving or Christmas. Help our stores reach a goal of $12,000 Turkey Bucks, which will provide 400 holiday meal bundles for families!
We are nuts 🥜 about Ledwell and Son Enterprises for helping us provide extra nutrition for kids in our school backpack program to get them through the upcoming holidays at home. As a Harvester's Club sponsor and supporter of our backpack program through this annual peanut butter drive, Ledwell flies high as a Harvest #hungerhero 💪 #harvestgood

Please join us in congratulating our very own, Erickah Mathis, in her new role as Food Sourcing Coordinator, for Harvest Regional Food Bank. "I enjoy being a part of a team whose mission is to help those who are less fortunate," according to Erickah. "I am excited to share what it is we do with local food retailers and suppliers, and to spread the word on how important our work is." Erickah started her time with Harvest, as Administrative Coordinator, and soon added Volunteer Coordinator to her duties. Now, as Food Sourcing Coordinator, Erickah will be in charge of securing food for all Harvest programs, through our vendors, retail donors and local farmers. "I absolutely love my work team, and I look foward to this new opportunity to bring more food to Harvest, so we can continue helping to end hunger across our region." Thank you, Erickah, for all you do to help fight hunger and best wishes in your new role as Food Sourcing Coordinator.
"I know my name was on the award, but I really feel like I was accepting it on behalf of our entire team and the work that has been put in to make sure that hungry people are still getting the food they need, especially at a time when they need it most. I was surprised and truly humbled by the recognition. I'm just really thrilled and grateful that the community recognizes the services the food bank provides." - Camille Coker Wrinkle #hungerheroes 💪🏼 #harvestgood ♥️ #bestbossever 🥳 TEXARKANAGAZETTE.COM Harvest CEO named Unsung Hero

We could not be more thrilled to be a part of this extraordinary act of generosity by MacKenzie Scott, former wife of Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos. "It takes a lot to move food to people, especially in a ten county, mostly rural area. It takes a lot trucks, it takes freezer space, refrigeration, and it takes inventory systems," according to Harvest CEO, Camille Coker Wrinkle. "All of those things need to be updated from time to time. So, this is going to help us accomplish that while also focusing on the needs of the people that we serve every day." While we still need community support to get food out to those who need it, Harvest will use this gift for much needed upgrades, and for future programs to help end the cycle of hunger. #harvestgood ARKLATEXHOMEPAGE.COM SWAR food bank to receive gift from MacKenzie Scott
Harvest got word earlier this month of a generous gift coming from a large donor. Please take some time to read the thoughtful words of MacKenzie Scott, former wife of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, as she reflects on philanthropy and hope for our future. Harvest is listed in Scott’s post on Medium as one of the organizations personally selected by Scott and her dedicated team of advisors to receive funding. We are so grateful for this generous gift, and for all of the support we have received throughout 2020 as we’ve worked to provide food, aid, and hope to those in need in our region. We have much to be thankful for in 2020, and we owe it to our generous supporters. #harvestgood MACKENZIE-SCOTT.MEDIUM.COM 384 Ways to Help
