Dr. Askari received his medical degree from Karachi University, Karachi, Pakistan. He completed a residency at Murshid Hospital and Healthcare Center, Karachi, Pakistan, and additional residencies in the Neurology and Internal Medicine Departments of the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO.
Following research fellowships in medicine, diabetes, and psychiatry, he completed a clinical fellowship at the National Institute of Health, Developmental and Metabolic Neurology Branch. He has experience in providing a wide range of neurological procedures.
Dr. Askari’s clinical interests are falls prevention, traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, and dementia treatment and prevention. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and has published extensively in research and medical journals. He has lectured and presented at conferences around the world. Dr. Askari speaks English, French, Urdu, Hindi, Persian, and Arabic.
