Hazelwood Construction Company, Inc. was founded by Bill Fletcher in 1966. His main focus was on commercial contracting in the Columbia, SC area. This included projects for the federal government, local government, health institutions, churches, and private buildings.
Jim Fletcher, his youngest son, worked by his side for years before getting his own unlimited building license in 1985. Bill and Jim worked closely together doing projects around the state until 1999, when Jim inherited the company. Jim then expanded the company's interest into the elite residential market where he incorporated his commercial experience into residential additions and remodeling.
Jim has maintained the company's spotless reputation with their clients, subcontractors, and suppliers as he promised he would when he took over the operation from his father. Jim works side by side with his co-workers as did his father with him.
