Specializing in the one on one, individualized treatment of Outpatient Orthopaedic Conditions in Northern Virginia

I'm a life long Arlingtonian married to my high school sweetheart. I have my Undergraduate degree from University of Delaware in Fitness Management with A Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from Marymount University. I have been practicing PT for over 16 years. I decided to create my own practice to help with those who have trouble leaving their house, require more flexibility with treatment times or simply feel more comfortable at home while getting one on one, individualized treatment for their diagnosed ailments.

My background is in outpatient orthopaedic conditions
post surgical
acute injury
chronic injury

As my name suggests I treat injuries from Head to Toe. I incorporate hands on Manual Therapy skills with Exercises for your specific areas of concern. Each patient is unique in how their symptoms present. I also know that the responsibility of recovery falls mostly on the patient. You must be willing to work outside of PT in order to improve.

** I do not provide any kind of Nursing or OT services **

There are several causes of Spinal Stenosis (aka - Narrowing of a canal/tube) Some of the most common are listed below
Spondylosis (degenerative changes of the spine) can present with different symptoms. A large percentage of cases are asymptomatic
Many of the diagnosis of the spine have very similar names but have very different meanings. Example: Spondylosis, Spondylolysis, Spondylolisthesis, Stenosis Lets start with Stenosis
It’s been a while but I’m back. One thing I notice a lot is that people don’t usually understand the diagnosis they have been given. It’s important to understand what’s injured and why it’s causing a problem in order to help recovery. I want to hear from you. What body part, injury, treatment do you want to know more about?
So many things can cause low back pain. One that can often be overlooked is the Iliopsoas. It plays a role in posture, supporting the lower back, but its main job is to flex the hip—it contracts to move the thighs toward the spine—which it does more powerfully than any of the other hip flexors. It also helps with forward bending, contracting to move the spine toward the thighs. The iliopsoas is also important in both walking and running How it tightens When we sit, the iliopsoas is both short and inactive. It may become so used to this position that when we stand, it “forgets” how to lengthen. Additionally, crunches, dancing, and pretty much any sports involving the legs can also cause the iliopsoas to become tight from overuse.
