We had a double birthday party this weekend! Today was Truman’s 5th birthday and yesterday was Laddy’s 1st birthday! Truman had a special cake and was kind enough to share with Laddy as well. Juniper did her evaluation today and stuck by her older sister, Nasira, the whole time. It was super adorable to see. It was like her big sis was her comfort blanket 💕
We have a couple dogs that don’t really enjoy going out with the other dogs...Either they are older pups or the small dogs are just too wild for them. Sasha is one who would just rather snuggle in a bed and hangout with our groomers, Gypsy and Mireille, all day. Can you say spoiled? ❤️😂 We love her to pieces!

Sweet little Romeo was one of our groom room buddies. Him and his brother, Diego were so small and nervous so they’d hangout with our groomers because it made them feel so much more comfortable. He was so incredibly sweet until it came to doing his nails 😂 He grew 10 sizes during that time and thought he was so vicious! He will be remembered for the cute teddy bear hoodie that he always wore 💕 He lived a wonderful and long life of 15 years with his amazing momma who loved him dearly. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Romeo
Romeo unfortunately passed away in November, but we try not to make these posts without speaking to the owners first as we know sometimes it is not the easiest thing to see and can make it worse. If you were a client with us and want your pup added to our “Gone, but not forgetten” album, we will gladly add them because they all mean so much to us! If you would also ever like it to not be posted, that is okay too because loss is very hard ❤️

We are looking for a full time dog bather with a passion for animals to join our team at Healthy Hound.
Responsibilities:
-Follow bathing and brushing procedures as outlined by Healthy Hound
- Washing, brushing, and blow drying dogs to prep them for the groomers.
- Nails trimming/dremel
-Deshedding/Blowouts
-Ear cleaning
-Anal expression
-Vacuum, clean and sanitize kennels, tubs, and other cleaning as needed to adhere to standards
-Fill out bath report cards for clients
-Make all dogs feel safe and comfortable
Qualities and Skills Needed:
-Familiarity with grooming tools such as: bathtubs, nail clippers, dremel, blow dryer, and various brushes.
-Comfortable working in a stressful and fast paced environment.
-Team Player
-Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods of time.
-Remain calm and patient with hard to do dogs.
-Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
-Dog handling experience
-Comfortable with all breeds of dog
Professional experience required for this position
Must pass a UA
