#BUCKEYE NATION ! Be on the look-out for this wonderful face as she will be in the stands cheering on for our favorite Team!! Miss E, as she likes to be addressed, won our Executive Director's random choice for a Fan Cutout to represent Hearth Brook in the Horseshoe Stands during The Ohio State University games. So much has been taken away from our Seniors, not just at our community, but the country over. We thought what a fun way to have us there, without actually being there. Miss E doesn't think anyone will notice her. However, we think it will be so much fun to track how many do - so if you please.... when you see her hashtag #ISeeMissE ! and if you can catch a snapshot of your catching her - awesome! Follow us on our Facebook page so that we can count how many #buckeyefans find her. #BuckeyeforLife declares the many residents here at Hearth Brook as we live in the heart of #BuckeyeNation in Newark Ohio!
This is our presentation today to honor our veterans. We thank them and their families for their sacarfices. We also know many wives of veterans live at our community, and we thank them for serving along side their husbands (and sons and daughters) as they waited for them to return from their duty. Again thank you to Newark City Schools - John Clem and JROTC at Newark High for participating with the program. Covid 19 has made programs difficult, not being able to meet in person, but the feeling of love and connection was still there virtually.
Hearth Brook Presentation to our residents in honor of our six Veterans - Bob Air Force Korea; Robert Air Force Korea, Karl Marines Vietnam, Ed Army Vietnam, George Army Vietnam Era stationed Panama Canal, Bruce Army Peace Time. Newark City Schools John Clem Elementary School and JROTC at Newark High helped in making our program so delightful. More to come. Plus a very special visit from students at Licking County Christian Academy as they shared their musical talents with our Veterans outside.#NewarkCitySchools #LickingCountyChristianAcademy #FreedomIsntFree
Friendsgiving is a an opportunity to share in the blessings and thankfulness of the season and celebrate friendships. Hearth Brook participated in delivering 25 plates to peers who would otherwise be alone for the holiday. It was a pleasure to share a moment in brightening their day with a fresh Turkey meal with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie! Sue Gienger Carter and Beth Colvin worked well in the early hours of the morning preparing the Turkey and all the goodies- even homemade cranberry sauce! We’re so thankful for a kitchen crew that is so committed and generous!
