BASIL offers a meeting ground for bankruptcy professionals from any discipline – debtors’ counsel, creditors’ counsel, judges, court staff, and bankruptcy trustees – through quarterly meetings and an annual seminar, regularly attended by over 120 regional professionals.

The IEJF was created in conjunction with the passage of the Equal Justice Act in 1999, which guaranteed access to the legal system for Illinois residents. IEJF works to distribute funding to legal aid organizations throughout the state to support veterans, families in crisis, victims of domestic violence, and seniors facing abuse and financial exploitation.
