The Commissioners Court has approved the opening of a second round of Small Business Assistance Grant applications with substantially the same eligibility requirements as the first round, with the exception that Franchise businesses that are independently owned and operated will also now be eligible to apply, subject to meeting all other requirements.

❗️Northeast Tarrant City Warming Stations❗️
With the widespread power outages that are impacting the city and state, several Northeast Tarrant cities have activated warming stations for those without power and in need of shelter. During these rolling blackouts and extremely cold temperatures, please check on your neighbors, especially the elderly ones, to make sure they are okay.
Below is information provided by the cities. Each city has updates and more information on its social media outlets.
City of Bedford, City of Hurst, and H-E-B ISD: The City of Hurst, Bedford and HEB ISD have opened a warming center at Central Junior High, 3191 W. Pipeline Rd. in Euless. The warming center is expected to transition to an overnight shelter for anyone in need. While some cots will be available, people are encouraged to bring their own sleeping bags, mats, blankets, and pillows. There will be an approximate 150-person maximum capacity. Masks are required. Water will be provided but everyone is encouraged to bring their own food and medicines. Please be advised, no showering facilities will be available and no pets will be allowed at this time.
Colleyville: The Library, 100 Main Street, is a warming station. Please come up and use it if needed.
Euless: If you do not have power, the City of Euless has opened a warming center at the Euless Family Life Rec Center, 300 W. Midway.
Fort Worth: Fort Worth is opening up an overnight shelter for residents who are without power. As of now, the shelter will be open until noon on Thursday, February 18. Anyone needing the shelter will need to self-transport to the Fort Worth Convention Center and enter through the Houston Street entrance. The location is 1201 Houston St, Fort Worth, TX 76102. COVID -19 screening will take place before entering the building and COVID -19 protocols will be in place. Cots will be provided. People should bring their own blankets. Food will not be provided. Restrooms will be available, but there will not be facilities for showers. Pets allowed.
Grapevine: The REC, 1175 Municipal Way, is offering their facility as a warming shelter. Please call 817-410-4455 for additional information.
Haltom City & Richland Hills: Two warming center locations are open.

Keller: As frigid conditions continue, the city will open a warming station at the Keller Public Library, 640 Johnson Road, as a temporary location for residents still experiencing power outages to get warm and out of the elements. Doors will remain open until at least 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.
North Richland Hills: Contact the NRH Warming Station Hotline if without power and in imminent need of shelter at 817-427-6001.
Southlake: DPS North Station (100 East Dove) has been made into an emergency warming center. Please social distance appropriately and no pets please. Bring snacks.

Disaster assistance from FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency has been made available for those affected by the winter storm individuals and business owners who sustain losses may begin applying for assistance by registering online and www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs low cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.
