Heidi Hamernik, Ph.D., P.C. received her doctorate in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina. Her residency in pediatric clinical psychology and post-doctoral fellowship in neurodevelopmental psychology were completed at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Hamernik received general training in individual and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults, psychological assessment, pediatrics, and crisis management. She received specialized training in neuropsychological evaluation of children and adolescents with physiologic, emotional, and neurobehavioral disorders.
Dr. Hamernik currently offers the following services: individual and family therapy with children, adolescents, or adults, and psychological and neurobehavioral assessment. She has particular interests in neurobehavioral disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, learning disabilities, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders, autism spectrum disorders, non-verbal learning disabilities, eating disorders, and behavioral pediatrics, as well as others. Dr. Hamernik's professional affiliations include the American and Illinois Psychological Associations, the International Neurological Society, and the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy.
