This week we are highlighting one of our agency’s highly experienced and dedicated insurance advisors, Kimball Shirey. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Kimball’s love of community and deep understanding of the technical nuisances of insurance make him a stand out in our industry. His deep ties in the community include: Business Networking International-Chico Founders Chapter, Secretary/Treasurer, Current Vice President and Past President Paradise Chamber of Commerce, and Past President Paradise Exchange Club. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ We asked Kimball a few fun questions for the weekend🥂 ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Are you more of the sweet or savory type? 🧀⁣⠀ I am definitely a savory guy with a palate for rich as well as flavorful and spicy food. No sweet tooth here. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ What’s your most guilty pleasure?☀️ ⁣⠀ I love spending time with my love in the Marina area of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ What was the tastiest food you’ve ever eaten?🐠 ⁣⠀ So many choices...First one to come to mind was a fresh grilled Mahi-mahi in a saffron cream sauce served on a bed of Spanish rice. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ What should not be missing in your kitchen?❤️ My amazing wife Mary who is my Sous-Chef ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Fun fact: Kimball and his wife, Mary, own Spencer Shirey Wines and are members of the Sierra Oro Farm Trail and North Sierra Wine Trail🍷⁣

We love Bees! Check out the Honeybee Discovery Center: The Honeybee Discovery Center is designed to teach the public about honeybees and the rich history of beekeeping in Northern California. The Center is not only a place for the public and schools to learn about honeybees but also a place for the beekeeping community to display items that are part of beekeeping and its history. Check them out below👇🏻⠀ ⠀ What’s your favorite Holiday? ⠀ 4th of July -Fireworks, Family & Freedom ⠀ ⠀ If you were a cookie, what kind would you be and why? ⠀ Salted Carmel Cookie because I’m mostly sweet but can be salty... 🧂 ⠀ ⠀ What is the one thing you refuse to share? ⠀ My tooth brush! 🦷⠀ ⠀ Fun fact: Kelly had the pleasure of officiated Angela’s wedding. ⠀ Gorgeous bride and Heritage team ❤️
They say you are supposed to HIRE SLOW and fire fast...well upon meeting Laine LaGrande, we decided to ignore the rules! This fine individual caught our attention and we didn't make haste adding him to our team as our first Farm & Agribusiness Insurance Intern. Laine will be blazing new trails at Heritage and we already know his exceptional character and talent will ensure he has a position here after his internship ends. Welcome aboard Laine, we are so glad you knocked on our door.

The Heritage Team remains committed to serving your insurance needs. In an abundance of caution and to ensure our team and family of clients stay healthy through the holidays, we have restricted our in office visits. Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving week.
Rhett’s first trade show! Thank you Tehama County Farm Bureau for making Producer Day possible.
This week we wanted to recognize Shay McCluskey✨⠀ ⠀ Shay was born and raised in Dixon, CA on a farm growing row crops; corn, sunflowers and tomatoes. In 2004, the McCluskey’s moved their family ranch to Red Bluff where they started their own cow/calf operation. With agriculture running deep in her veins, Shay graduated with a degree in Agriculture Business from CSU Chico. An internship at the Shasta Livestock Auction Yard and several years working in the Butte County Farm Bureau office prepared Shay well for her role as a member of the farm team and Claims Advocate at Heritage. ⠀ ⠀ Shay serves on the executive committee of the Butte Young Farmers and Ranchers and is an active member with the Tehama County Cattle Women’s Association. Shay enjoys spending time with her family and says, “The best times are always found when friends and family gather round.” And she and her fiancé Matt look forward to their upcoming wedding day.⠀ ⠀ We asked Shay a few fun questions to kick off this chilly weekend 🌧⠀ ⠀ What is your favorite Christmas Movie? 🎄White Christmas with Bing Crosby & Danny Kaye. My family and I watch that movie every December when we are together. It is a feel-good movie with classic Christmas songs from classic voices.⠀ ⠀ What is one book that has impacted you? 📚⠀ Girl Wash your Face & Girl Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis. Hands down the best books I have read in a long time. They are empowering and make you feel that you can conquer/do anything!⠀ ⠀ If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be? 🌎⠀ I would live in Europe, just so I could explore every inch of each place.⠀ ⠀ What is your favorite season?🍂⠀ My favorite season is Fall. I love when the air gets crisp and the leaves start changing colors. It is the calm before the Holiday storm and just a peaceful yet exciting time of year.
HERITAGE THANKFUL THURSDAY Our healthcare workers remain on the frontlines battling COVID-19 and putting themselves in the path of this virus in Chico and around the world. Thank you — from everyone at Heritage for the sacrifices you make, every day and especially during this pandemic. Your dedication, commitment and courage deserve our deepest gratitude and admiration. Your service to patients is saving countless lives and making thousands of differences.
Heritage and Shasta 4-H paired up to recognize the commitment and dedication of our Military, Veterans and Wounded Warriors. We hope these letters in some small way express our great appreciation for their service to our country.
This week we are recognizing Nicole ☀️⠀ ⠀ Raised in Davis, Nicole spent much of her childhood in her family rice fields. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from St. Mary's of California. Nicole found that one of the most valuable lessons she learned while attending McGeorge's School of Law in Sacramento was, "The purpose of life is a life of purpose."⠀ Nicole takes great pleasure in serving the needs of her clients and has earned the trust of her team in always exceeding her professional goals. Nicole and her husband Alex were married in March so thankfully they were able to have the wedding before COVID restrictions. Nicole's greatest pleasures are being outside, cooking and spending time with her family and furry friend, Pippa.⠀ ⠀ We asked Nicole a few fun questions after the Halloween weekend 🎃⠀ ⠀ If you had a parrot what would you teach it to say? 🦜 ⠀ “Don’t forget your mask!”⠀ You would think that 6+ months into this pandemic I would remember to pack a mask before leaving the house, but nope!!⠀ ⠀ What was the first concert you attended? 🎶⠀ When I was in 7th grade, my brother and I went to see the Zac Brown Band at Raley Field in Sacramento. It was an absolute blast and got me hooked on concerts! Attending Stagecoach is on my bucket list!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ What is the best thing about being 5’2”? ✨⠀ I love being 5’2”. I save a lot of money on clothes and shoes by shopping in the kids section!⠀ ⠀ Favorite Halloween candy? 🍬⠀ I’m a sucker for anything sour!⠀ ⠀ Favorite Halloween costume you ever wore?👻⠀ ⠀ Swipe to see her favorite Halloween costume!
