Scholarship Tip - Most scholarship applications, including our HFS Scholarship, will ask you to submit at least 1 or 2 Letters of Recommendation.
When asking someone to write a letter for you, be sure to give them ample time. At least 2 weeks in advance is recommended!

New year, same fraud risk (unfortunately). Fraudsters don’t stop trying to find new ways to steal our information and money! You can help stop them.
1. It's important to NEVER share any personal information over the phone, email, text messages, etc., even if it appears to be initiated by the Credit Union. These are not secure communication channels. HFS has our Secure Message Center in Online Banking to assist you if you need to inquire about your account.
2. It is our standard practice to never ask you for personal information such as account numbers, usernames, passwords and passcodes, so don't be fooled. Many times fraudsters will pretend to be from a Fraud Detection Department and may sneakily ask you for a secure access code or to confirm your PIN, etc.
3. If you’re ever in doubt, call us at (808) 930-1400 for assistance (don't hit redial).
