Just in Case: Being Prepared for Emergencies with an Aging Loved One
Last Thursday, we said farewell to Keith, our Executive Director.
Keith has been a part of the Highgate team in many capacities throughout the years and we were lucky enough to have him end his tenure here in Bellingham.
Keith is pursuing his master's degree, and we sure hope when he graduates from his program, he becomes part of the Highgate team once more.
We sent him off with a golf-themed clock for his desk, cards from resident and team members, as well as the opportunity to do what we've all wanted to do for months...smash Martha's beautiful pinata and eat candy!
This is a part-time position with the potential to add hours in the future. The candidate will be required to drive two different Highgate vehicles, a large van and a car, and must have a clean driving record to qualify and be comfortable driving large vehicles.

How to Talk to an Aging Parent About Hygiene
“The elder is already going through a transition,” says Kathleen Williams, Executive Director of Highgate at Temecula. “That’s stressful on its own. If the children aren’t seeing eye to eye, the parent is going to feel that stress, too. That’s the last thing they need to be worrying about. This should be a good time for them.” It is important to focus on what really matters and make some important decisions for your family’s future.
