Our Dietitian, Liz, asked for fruits and vegetables and our Food Service Director, Dawn, delivered !! For this weeks “Munchie Monday” we sampled EXOTIC fruits and vegetables like prickly pear and watermelon radish! 😋

This weeks “Foodie Friday” brings our staff: WINGING IT FOR THE WEEKEND and boy did we get saucey!! Today we had 4 different types of wings and 8 different sauces. Sauces included: sweet and spicy Thai, sesame ginger, garlic Parmesan, Buffalo, BBQ, southern peachy bbq, inferno, dill pickle and pumpkin pie! Our staffs favorite was... DILL PICKLE.

OUR WISH TREE IS OFFICIALLY UP 🎄🎄🎄.
Our wish tree serves as a way for our visitors to “sponsor” a resident for Christmas.
How does it work you ask?
You take a mitten and your mitten serves as the resident that you will sponsor for Christmas! On the mitten you will find your residents sex and some items and sizes of things they like/need. You can purchase one item or all items listed. Then, Santa has agreed to take some time out of his busy schedule on Christmas Eve to stop by and hand out the gifts to the residents 🎅🏼.
Gifts🎁 will be due to our activities department WRAPPED by December, 19th with your mitten attached to the gift 🎁so we know who it goes to!
Don’t forget to stop in and get your mitten ASAP.

Hello friends and family! 👋🏼 We hope everyone is safe and doing well! We have a request of you all ! We would like anyone interested to please make and decorate A SIGN 🪧 and we will stake it in to the ground outside of the building for our residents to look out and see on thanksgiving day 🦃!! If you make a sign 🪧 and would like it to be placed outside a specific residents room, let us a know! We would love for them to see a special shout out from their families and friends on thanksgiving day 🦃! We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their participation in our wish tree this Year. We are so very thankful to have you all in our lives and for helping to make this tradition a possibility in these unprecedented times. There are just a few mittens left on our tree!!! I am so incredibly proud to call these 2 Dads my friends / neighbors. We have a good friend whose mother recently went to a nursing home , they went to build her a snowman today. All the negatively on Facebook this is what we should be doing !!! Brighten someone’s day. PASS it On !!!!
