Himani Chandra, MD, is board certified in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Dr. Chandra earned her undergraduate and medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston, MA and her fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr. Chandra taught students, residents, and fellows at both Mount Sinai and Hackensack University Medical Centers.Dr. Chandra specializes in performing ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules and uses the latest continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump technologies. She treats an array of endocrine disorders, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, hypogonadism, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pituitary disease, and obesity.
Dr. Chandra is an active member of The Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling around the world and has been to over 25 countries. She loves to watch and play sports and is a die-hard Washington Redskins fan.
