“A commitment to Diversity and Equity is not new to Hiway,” said Tasha Williams-Hudson, Hiway’s Assistant Contact Center Manager. “In fact, we put a greater focus on it last year, prior to the racial unrest of today. I often tell people that I am blessed with the management and senior management that we have at Hiway because they are steadfast in their commitment to equity and inclusion for ALL people. This partnership with the AACUC just enhances that commitment and gives us another avenue for expanding the work that we’ve already begun.”

We had a blast with a pop-up music number at our Main Office yesterday, someone aptly named the “Rockin’ Egg Roll” as we also had the pleasure of the Egg Roll King food truck. Thank you to the artists for the visit, we really miss our events and appreciate the live music so much.

In our mission to be an inclusive community partner for our members and associates alike, we know it’s important to recognize these important dates. Yesterday was Mexican Independence Day, September 16 marks the moment when Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a Catholic priest known as Father Hidalgo, made the first cry for independence. Today is International Credit Union Day and it’s one of our favorite weeks of the year! We started out on a Monday volunteering for #cuforwardday and each team chose a different non-profit they were passionate for to spread kindness throughout the day.
