Lavern’s Law Update!
Yesterday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed two pieces of legislation that will protect cancer patients who have been the victim of a missed diagnosis or mis-diagnosis. The law will provide an extended period of time from the normal statute of limitations for medical malpractice claims: two years and six months from the date of discovering a missed diagnosis and up to seven years from the last treatment.
If you or a loved one have questions regarding this legislation or how it may effect a potential claim, call us! Utica: (315)624-7777; Cooperstown: (607)282-4252 ; 1-800-CAR-CRASH
