At 333 beds, HUMC offers excellence in emergency medicine in the 34-bay emergency room and the dedicated OB/GYN ED; inpatient rehabilitation; transitional care; child and adult behavioral health; women’s care; wound care; and numerous surgical subspecialties. The American Heart and Stroke Association awarded the Silver Award to HUMC for its dedication to improving quality of care for stroke patients. Overall, HUMC was ranked in the top ten in New Jersey for care quality among all hospitals in the state with 350 beds or fewer.
