𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗳 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮
Gulf Shores, Ala. – The City of Gulf Shores, City of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism have been working closely with Governor Kay Ivey and the State of Alabama to determine when beaches can safely reopen. While our area has seen vast improvement over the last eight days, there is still a lot of work to be done. Due to this, the closure of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan beaches has been extended to Friday, October 2.
This decision was made after speaking with residents, local businesses and assessing the amount of storm damage that our communities still need time to repair.
Visitors should contact their lodging accommodation provider for specific information related to their stay. All visitors must be prepared to show proof of reservation at any time in the event access to an area is restricted.
We appreciate your patience as we take care of our residents and continue working to rebuild Alabama’s coastal communities.

Hurricane Sally Pet Food and Supply Relief Drive
I wear my heart on my sleeve and I know I shouldn’t even have to post something like this but I’m going to...
99.9% of y’all have been unbelievably supportive through all of this, but there have been a few that have questioned our motives for the donations and it absolutely breaks my heart.
I honestly don’t even want to know what was floating around in our restaurant for 2 days before the water receded enough for us to get inside, but I do know there were used feminine products, feces, fish, crabs, and all of our knocked over food and merchandise.
Our roof has damage and the ceiling is now leaking and boards are bulging. All of our cooking and holding equipment are ruined, our food and merchandise are ruined, our walls and ceiling have to be completely gutted and ripped out. It still smells like a sewer in there but it won’t always.
I am trying to keep everyone updated on the process and what we are doing but PLEASE be kind. If you have a question, ask! Don’t accuse us of being a scam or that insurance will cover everything and we don’t need it or that since we are a “successful business” we shouldn’t need the donations. I assure you that if there was any other way, it would be done before asking for help!
FEMA DOES NOT offer grants to businesses.
Flood insurance DOES NOT cover contents.
We are a small mom and pop with no financial backing and as of Tuesday, we have zero income.
Please have a heart and don’t post insensitive comments, we are dealing with enough as it is.
