Much of college football could be put on hold today!! It’s decision day on the future of this fall’s college football season for potentially three of the Power 5 football conferences, including the Big 12. There are reports that the Big Ten and the Pac-12 might call off their seasons and explore the possibility of spring football. Leaders of the Big Ten are scheduled to meet Tuesday morning, and the Pac-12 meets after that. Leaders from the Big 12 Conference — which includes the University of Texas — are scheduled to meet Tuesday night to discuss its options. When conference leaders met Sunday, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby said no decisions were made to cancel or postpone the season. Losing a football season means millions of dollars lost not just for UT, but for an untold number of businesses that see a bump in business due to the games. The Mountain West became the second conference in the NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision to do just that, joining the Mid-American Conference in giving up hope on playing any sports in the first semester. Back east, Old Dominion canceled fall sports, too, becoming the first school in college football’s highest tier to break from its league; the rest of Conference USA is going forward with plans to play. https://www.bizjournals.com/ BIZJOURNALS.COM Local Business News - The Business Journals

AIR FORCE THUNDER BIRDS FLIGHT PATH! The flight of F-16 Fighting Falcons over Central Texas cities, honoring front-line workers and health care professionals serving in the coronavirus pandemic, was originally planned for Tuesday but postponed because of weather. While Wednesday’s planned flyover will make for a nice show, skies over Austin will be overcast throughout the day with a 20% chance of rain lasting into the evening, according to the National Weather Service forecast. No severe weather is expected with the minimal rain chance, and daytime temperatures could reach the mid-80s, forecasters said. The Austin flyover will start at 2:40 p.m. and end at 3:15 p.m. The squadron will first fly over Leander before circling over Georgetown, Round Rock and Pflugerville and then pass over downtown Austin, flying along Interstate 35. It will then circle around to Lakeway and South Austin before returning to fly over I-35 through Buda and Kyle. Residents on the route can expect a few minutes of jet noise as the planes pass overhead. Last week, a similar flyover was conducted by the U.S. Navy’s demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, over Dallas and Housto
