To Our Guests:
Nothing is more important than the health and well-being of our guests and team members. We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and our management team has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization statements regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we are following the guidelines from these agencies, local health departments, and the brand on appropriate hygiene standards. Our health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and include everything from hand washing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to guest rooms and common area cleaning procedures.
We recognize that the COVID-19 virus has required all of us to be more thoughtful as we go through our daily activities. We would like to share with you some of the additional measures we are taking – on top of our already-stringent safety and cleanliness standards – to ensure that our hotel remains a safe place for our guests to stay during the current outbreak:
• We have formed an internal team to monitor updates and recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and state and local public health departments. This team is responsible for proactively communicating with our franchise partners and team leaders at the hotel level to ensure that our procedures and practices meet or exceed all recommended guidelines.
• Sanitization, safety and health processes are reviewed with the hotel staff every day prior to each shift and we have shared up-to-date resources and tools with our franchise partners and team members to help them stay clean, healthy and informed.
• We are following a comprehensive cleaning and sanitization process that includes a vigilant procedure for disinfecting all hard surfaces, doors and handles.
• We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all high-traffic areas and we are providing hand sanitizer for guests and team members both proactively and upon request.
• We are strictly enforcing our current policy of requiring team members to stay home if they are not feeling well or have a fever.
• We have re-emphasized our internal training to focus on frequent and proper hand-washing and personal hygiene.
In addition, our associates are expected to follow the CDC recommendations for everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, and we encourage you to do the same. These include:
• Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
• Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Washing your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
Again, your health and safety is our utmost priority and our team is committed to making your stay a pleasant one. We hope you will choose to continue your stay with us in the days and weeks ahead.
