Sophia Kappen, 5-year old daughter of Greg and Amy (Plamondon) Kappen, was diagnosed with Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on April 6, 2016. She has been fighting a courageous battle, but unfortunately, Sophia relapsed on July 28, 2016, and the cancer has become more aggressive. Sophia will miss her entire Kindergarten year, as most of her time will be spent at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati. She will require extensive chemo, full body radiation, and a stem-cell transplant. You can follow Sophia’s journey on her Caring Bridge website: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sophiakappen/journal.
