Major Function:
Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness, aesthetic upkeep of the hotel, supervision and control of the housekeeping department and related functions.
Essential Functions:
Organize, supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff on day-to-day basis.
Ensure excellence in housekeeping sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics for hotel guests.
Prepare daily room boards and supervise the discipline and conduct of housekeeping staff.
Ensure proper communication within the department by conducting regular meeting with the staff.
Ensure proper communication with department heads via email and/or meeting.
Conduct interviews with possible new employees and train them for the housekeeping position including cleanliness, safety and security.
Counsel and motivate employees on various duties.
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for cleaning and develop new procedures to increase efficiency of labor and product use.
Test new techniques and products in the market.
Maintain regular inspection, as directed by management, checking of furniture, linen, uniform, equipment in the hotel.
Evaluate employee performance for promotions, transfers and wages.
Conduct an accurate inventory for hotel supplies as assigned by management.
Check the reports, files, registers maintained in the department.
Answer guest complaints in a timely manner as described by management.
Conduct minor disciplinary actions such as verbal warning and written write up with supervisor.
Be the first point of supervisory contact for your housekeeping and laundry staff.
Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
Wears proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Personal Appearance.
Is able to move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
Practices safety standards at all times.
Adheres to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company, including but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Handbook.
Other duties as assigned of which the employee is capable of performing.
