Hollywood VIP Pass: Club crawls have become all the rage in Hollywood, with a single ticket getting you past the velvet rope at multiple clubs. This New Year's Eve the concept is taking over Hollywood with VIP Club Crawl that get's you VIP access to 4 to 6 New Year's Eve club parties within walking distance of each other. The number of clubs depends on which ticket you buy. Some packages include a full dinner. Clubs include Spice, Couture, Egyptian Theatre Courtyard (see Cleopatra party below), Cashmere, a bonus club to be named, and Playhouse After Hours (2-4 am).

Cleopatra's New Year's Eve Ball at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The classic theater's courtyard will be tented and heated, and multiple indoor rooms will extend the Egyptian theme. DJs will be spinning Top 40 and hip-hop mash-ups to a giant LED light show. A balloon drop and confetti blast will mark the new year.

The Queen Mary in Long Beach hosts its annual New Year's Eve Voyage all over the ship. For the entry of 2014, the Queen Mary will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of the ship's christening, which took place in September 1934, with a chronology of world celebrations representing different ports the ship visited. Your ticket includes admission, fireworks and access to all the parties including Bombay, India, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, New York, Cherbourg, France and Clydebank, Scotland.

Universal City Walk has added to their huge outdoor New Year's Eve Countdown Bash this year, incorporating the Waterworld and Gibson stages inside Universal Studios Hollywood. The event features live music and DJs beginning at 9 pm with a simulcast of the New York City ball drop, and fireworks viewable from all concert areas at midnight. The event is no longer free. The high parking rates include admission or you can take the Metro or a shuttle and pay a per person admission charge.

New Year's Eve in Downtown Long Beach is a combination of a free family-friendly party on the waterfront with music and trackless train rides culminating in 9 pm fireworks celebrating New Year on the East Coast. After 9, the party moves over to Pine Avenue where the festivities continue with dancing in the street until West Coast New Year and on to 2 am. At midnight, you can see fireworks off the Queen Mary from the waterfront.
