This month's Wine Dinner featured food and wine from Northern Italy. Chef Peter explains, “I like the residents to taste new foods and experience how the wine and food pairings balance each other. We have added items from previous wine dinners that were very well received to our menu rotations. I also give them a light course in wines by describing the grape varieties, production, history, and taste characteristics. The overall experience is akin to going to an upscale restaurant for such an event, as we bring the tasting’s region to Holly Hall by décor, music, and dress for an authentic experience.”
