Today we had a special zoom call with the kiddos from our Music Together Intergenerational Class! The class creates a connection among generations and engages our minds and bodies! We’ve missed having our Monday classes but we were excited to virtually see so many smiling faces! 😊💕🎵

This week’s #MeetMeMonday features our Food Services Director, LuAnne LaPenna. LuAnne is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and has over 30 years of experience in the food industry. She has a passion for food that cannot be matched and her favorite part of her position is the people!
This past February, LuAnne married her best friend James. She loves spending time with her family including her five grandchildren. We are lucky to have LuAnne on our team and she is looking forward to continuing to make the food service program shine at Homestead!

6 Ways to Improve Heart Health During American Heart Month | Solvere Living
At Homestead, you can always be sure to see multiple programs happening at one time. Today, residents created jewelry while others played a game of corn hole. Later on residents took part in a “dancing through the decades” zoom fitness class, participated in a discussion on healthy eating, and got competitive in a game of darts!
Our amazing team members are helping to ensure that residents stay active and engaged as we push through the winter season. General Manager, Mike Owens enjoys getting to spend time with residents as he leads Wii bowling. We are lucky to have wonderful team members who lead programs such as Bible study, billiards, poker, cooking demos, games and more!
Today Homestead took a giant step forward in the fight against COVID-19. We began our first rounds of the #COVIDVaccine for both residents and staff. We are filled with excitement and hope! Here’s to brighter days ahead. ❤️

We recently started up our Sunshine Committee again. Our committee is dedicated to celebrating our fellow residents and team members while staying happy and optimistic throughout the year. Our latest task was to make “thinking of you” cards for our building. ✨
