One of our long time clients decided it was time to join his wife in heaven. We could not ask for a more peaceful way to pass, quietly in his sleep. He was 93, just like his beloved Inga was 93 when she passed away in her sleep.
In our business, the passing of our clients is inevitable. It is something we go into knowing what the end result will be. We should be prepared. We should not get attached to the clients, knowing what the end results will be. But all my caregivers have the biggest hearts and their clients become family to them. So when their clients pass, they lost a member of their family. When I was told that Roy passed away this morning, it affected me more than I expected. He was a big part of our Homewatch Caregivers family. Stubborn, proud...we wouldn’t have changed it any other way. I am happy I got to say goodbye and watch as he was quietly taken away. Roy, you will be missed, but you are with your beloved Inga now...

Thank you!
Very proud of our Homewatch Caregivers team today! Yesterday they pick up food boxes and Starbucks sandwiches from the folks at Lend a Hand Community Outreach and then spent the afternoon and evening getting the boxes and sandwiches distributed to seniors, caregivers, and the community. Many thanks to Marilyn, Cindy, and Shanell for making this happen and to everyone at #LendAHandCommunityOutreach who puts this together each week. You are making a difference. Thank you all!
Goodbyes are never easy.
