As more states across the country require face coverings, you might notice some changes to your skin. 1. Wash your face 1-2 times a day.

A common cause of a skin tear on the anus is an anal fissure. In the US, there are around 250,000 patients diagnosed with anal fissure each year. However, the prevalence of anal fissure is actually much higher, as most cases go undiagnosed. The cause of the fissure is usually an overactive anal sphincter muscle tone, or in other words, an overly tight sphincter. Once a tear occurs, our body needs a good blood supply to heal this wound, and an overactive anal sphincter cuts off the blood supply, which prevents it from healing. The treatment of choice is a BOTOX injection to this muscle in order to relax the tone and re-establish the required blood supply for proper healing.
