About

We offer the American Heart Association (AHA) CPR classes in Sacramento and Yuba City. Join us for healthcare providers BLS, ACLS certification & PALS classes in Sacramento. The Community & Workplace courses in First Aid, CPR & AED are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements-ideal for teachers, childcare workers, fitness trainers, corporate workers, restaurant employees, lifeguards, coaches, parents, babysitters, law enforcement personnel or anyone who wants to learn how to do CPR in Sacramento.

The Childcare First Aid CPR AED & Preventive Health & Safety classroom-based courses are designed to meet the 16- hours of EMSA regulatory requirements for child care workers in the state of California.

Choose from our AHA online/blended course options that is delivered in 3-parts: the cognitive learning portion (Part 1) can be completed online, and the hands-on Skills Session which includes practice and testing (parts 2 & 3) can be completed with our AHA Instructor. Skills & testing sessions are available for the First Aid online, CPR & AED online, BLS online, ACLS & PALS online courses here in our Sacramento training center.

Our classes are easy to schedule, fun and affordable. The instructors are led by a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in Emergency Cardiovascular Care. Our instructors all bring real life experience and expertise to each of their courses.

Hopewell CPR Training is currently seeking part time and full-time instructors to teach the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, First Aid & CPR training courses in the Greater Sacramento Area. The instructor will teach onsite at our campuses and the option to extend into other regions as needed. IINSTRUCTOR DUTIES Work with the Program Coordinator and staff to ensure quality of the courses meet AHA standards. Managing CPR training classes. Understand upcoming class logistics and assist with preparation. Ensure students are up to date with their schedule and send reminders. Keep track of company updates and disperse knowledge. Other various instructor needs. Physical Location Management: office and classroom upkeep. Tech, A/V equipment upkeep and maintenance. Roster and payment collection/processing. Managing supplies and inventory Meet and adapt to class needs either at location or onsite Be accessible always during business hours via personal phone (call or text) Quality Control: Ensure all paperwork is being done properly. Collect and process reviews and instructor evaluations. Shadow classes for continued learning and / or oversight. Identify gaps/needs and create solutions. Participate in new instructor hire process. Teach and mentor new instructors. Teaching Classes: Routine location hosted classes, On-demand onsite classes, assist in large classes. SKILLS REQUIRED Motivated to ensure that students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion. Knowledge of time management techniques to structure activity to accomplish the most possible in the time available. Ability to provide accurate information or assistance to students, staff, and faculty in a timely and courteous manner. Ability to listen actively and demonstrate understanding. Knowledge of current developments in related fields of specialization. Ability to deal in a professional and courteous manner with a variety of individuals. Oral and written skills to convey information accurately, thoroughly, and in a manner easily understood by students, staff and faculty. Ability to keep up to date on changes in policies and procedures to maintain current working knowledge. The expectation is that survivors return to their roles and social functioning.
