NCEES’ annual meeting looked a bit different this year. Every aspect of the meeting was done virtually, including officer and CEO reports, elections, and the business session.
We would like to thank everyone who attended. NCEES’ 99th annual meeting would not have been possible without your dedication to the engineering and surveying professions.
During the virtual business session on August 27, Christopher Knotts, P.E., of Louisiana, was installed as NCEES president. The 2020-21 board of directors was also installed. We would like to congratulate these individuals, and we look forward to the coming year.

One of our favorite traditions is supporting local children and families through service and donations during the holiday season. Although our Sub for Santa event looked a bit different this year, we are grateful for the opportunity to give back.
Through employee donations of money and time and a generous match from the Board of Directors, our teams across nine states have partnered with 20 organizations to provide food, educational supplies, and Christmas gifts for families in the communities where we live and work. #AtHorrocks
Scott Newin hadn't considered pursuing a college degree until he met Ron Mortimer and successfully interviewed for an internship at Horrocks. Earlier this year, Scott graduated from Utah Valley University (UVU) with a degree in engineering.
During a recent interview for UVU's College of Engineering and Technology blog, he discussed the power of mentoring first-generation and nontraditional students. We are incredibly proud of Scott's achievements.
