"Not only did this cave have a swinging bridge inside but at the end of the path was a 5 acre room It's hard to imagine what this looks like when the river is raging through it."

Onyx Cave is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. The last cave tour leaves at approximately 4:00 p.m.

There's more than kangaroos at Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo! Adam and Eve are their two super-friendly emus. They love to be hand fed and to have their necks rubbed. You can tell Eve from Adam because she has a double toe on her left foot. Make sure that you feel the texture of their feathers.
In another couple of months, Eve will start laying eggs, and Adam will sit on the nest. He will be on the nest for 6 to 8 weeks until the eggs hatch. During that time, he won't leave the nest to eat or go to the bathroom. He has stayed on the nest during torrential downpours and significant snow falls. He remains faithful to the eggs.
Kentucky Down Under is open year round (Closed only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and during extreme weather such as snow and cold and heavy rain.)
