Hospice of North Alabama was featured by Mountain Valley News for winning the First Place Award in the Sights and Scenes of Christmas contest in Jackson county. The $300 first place prize was donated to the Hospice of North Alabama Foundation, which provides non-medical support to hospice patients and their families.

Congratulations to the Sights and Scenes of Christmas winners. Hospice of North Alabama received the $300.00 First Place Award, Black's Tire received the $200.00 Second Place Award, and ABC Hospice received the $100.00 Third Place Award. We hope to see more participate in the 2021 contest.
Social Worker Mike Hovater wore festive lights during his home visits with patients and their families to provide joy this holiday season.
Social workers are an essential part of the hospice team and are available to help patients and their families identify resources that fulfill the needs of the patient while also supporting their end of life wishes. Examples include assistance with long-term placement, financial aid programs, end-of-life planning, veterans benefits, and much more.
