We were privileged to have Mary Scott Smith and Dr. C. Jack Smith slip in the side door of our Larry Sims Chapel of Caring on Thursday. On the anniversary of her late husband’s passing, Mary Scott honored Howard Goode by playing several of his favorite selections on the piano, which was donated in his honor by Don and Stefanie Brazile. Bravo! and thankfully, Mary Scott promised to return to play for us in the future.

In lieu of our annual Veterans Day pinning ceremony, Hospice of Texarkana chose a more social distancing method this year to honor our Veterans. Hospice of Texarkana has an opening for a home health aide who is certified as a CNA in both Arkansas and Texas. This is a part-time position requiring flexibility to work on the day shift seeing patients in homes as well as the night shift in the Inpatient Unit as needed. One year of CNA experience is preferred. Requirements include computer and communication skills for charting in an Electronic Medical Record.
