At Howard Health & Wellness, board-certified internal medicine and primary care physician Corey Howard, MD, FACP, FMNM, FAARFM, approaches health a little differently. At the practice in Naples, Florida, Dr. Howard goes beyond traditional medical thinking and focuses on the root causes of patients’ health concerns.
Dr. Howard attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. He then attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine (now the Morsani College of Medicine). After medical school, he was an intern at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Long Island Jewish campus, and then returned to Tampa to complete his internal medicine residency.
After completing a year as the Chief Resident in internal medicine, he completed his fellowship training in gastroenterology. During his time as a resident and fellow, he served on the Medical Executive Committee of Tampa General Hospital as well as numerous other committees. He moved to Naples in 1996 and began his Gastroenterology practice. He obtained additional training in Anti-Aging, Functional, and Regenerative Medicine, a fellowship in Metabolic Nutritional Medicine, trained as a Life Coach, and completed a 300+ hour professional cooking course on plant-based cooking.
As an outstanding internist and diagnostician, Dr. Howard practices primary care for adults and his practice includes the evaluation and management of allergies, diabetes, heart disease, hormone care, as well as full health evaluations and disease prevention. He is your full-service doctor to get you healthy and keep you healthy. At the practice, Dr. Howard takes a holistic approach to medicine that dives into lifestyle medicine and includes nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress levels, the environment, as well as interpersonal relationships.
