Howard I. Tiszenkel, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is the Director of the Proctology Program at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He specializes in treating colon and rectal cancers, anorectal disorders, and performs minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgical procedures.
Dr. Tiszenkel is a double board certified surgeon and fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. Over the last 15 years, Dr. Tiszenkel has been named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, New York Magazine, and Schneps Communications. After graduating with his medical degree from New York Medical College, Dr. Tiszenkel completed residencies at both St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City and Carle Clinic in Urbana, Illinois.
