Hello! Lindsey here... I just wanted to share with you a tip that was a game changer in my skincare routine when I first learned of it. Sounds simple, but it helped me tremendously! Double cleanse your face! Especially after you have worn makeup all day. Think of it like this... during that first cleanse, you are lathering your cleanser all over your face along with that makeup you’ve been wearing all day. The built up makeup, dirt and oil that’s accumulated throughout the day is being rubbed into your pores, so one wash won’t give you a thorough cleanse. Have you ever ran a cotton round soaked in toner over your face after you’ve washed your face? Do you still see a hint of makeup on that cotton round? I always did! All you need to do is wash your face with a cleanser such as Dr. Hurst’s Illuminating Cleanser, rinse, and then follow up with another wash. After that, apply a toner such as Dr. Hurst’s Botanical mist. Then you would apply any serums (I love Dr. Hurst’s Power-C serum and Age Defense Serum), then a moisturizer such as Dr. Hurst’s Nightly Repair Cream. Don’t forget to apply your SPF during the day! I LOVE Dr. Hurst’s Tinted BB cream. It is a Physical sunscreen with an SPF of 44. It is lightweight and does not leave my skin feeling greasy. I hope this helps improve your skincare routine! Double cleansing actually helped clear up some breakouts I had been having, so it’s my go-to trick! Here are a few photos from two patients that had their brows microbladed by me, Lindsey, this week at Hurst Plastic Surgery. I loved giving these beautiful ladies the brows they’ve been wishing for! The first set was tricky. Her brows were uneven due to some unfortunate threading and waxing. The measuring and drawing of the brow shape took a bit longer, but she was so happy with the outcome! I created a combo brow with natural hair strokes in the front, and machine shading through the rest of the brow. The second patient was given a combo brow with hair strokes throughout the entire brow, with some light machine shading throughout the brow to give it a more filled-in look.
