Taxes...wow! Chris Brown October 20 at 11:29 AM · Swiped from Scott Groves. A new CNBC news article is projecting that residents of California, New Jersey, and New York - who make more than $400,000 - could face a 62% Federal and State tax rate under the new Biden plan. That is the combined marginal rate. If you don't know what that means - please google it before you reply on this thread or claim to have any opinion about tax policy. I frequently ask my more thoughtful and intelligent progressive friends, who vote exclusively for Democrats, the following questions ... "What is your number?" "When will the 'rich' be paying enough in taxes?" "What is the 'fair share' that the 'rich' should be paying?" "How do you define 'rich' - is it income, wealth, assets?" I get one of two answers. A) "More, the answer is always MORE needs to be paid in taxes!" -OR- B) I get some esoteric answer about a "time when the wealthiest paid a 90% tax rate!" - which is absolutely false by the way. No one actually "paid" that number. And so now - the Occupy Wallstreeters, the Bernie Bros, The Progressives, the Democrats ... their new definition of 'rich' has moved from 'Billionaires & Millionaires' - to - anyone making over $400,000. That's a SERIOUS downward revision. In many high cost areas (where housing can easily run $5K a month & taxes are high) - $400k a year is not "rich". Guess what though - the newest numbers / income level / or tax rates don't really matter. Because the reality is, it's NEVER enough. Soon it will be more and more taxes, at a lower and lower income bracket. The answer with big government (on the left and the right) is always MORE!!! More government, more programs, more subsidies, more free-stuff, more handouts, more special interest programs, more debt, more taxes, more fees, more licenses, more bureaucracies. More and more and more. And you know who won't complain - for a while - are the 1099 employees and business owners who can write everything off on their taxes -AND- the super rich (businesses and citizens) who can hire an army of lawyers & accountants to help legally hide the money. But guess what? They are coming for you too!!! Why do you think California is leading the charge to eliminate the ability of so many jobs to be classified as 1099 contract workers? It has nothing to do with "worker rights" - it increases tax revenue when you're on a W2 versus a 1099!!! Why do you think states like California are trying to create "claw-back" laws which will enable them to tax residents after they leave the state? It's because taxes are finally becoming so egregious - that families and business owners will completely disrupt and relocate their businesses and their families to escape high tax burden states like California. Why do you think that every year there is a new ballot measure to repeal Prop 13 (which protects property tax rates in California) - it's because the answer to big government is always to get BIGGER. More taxes, means more funding, for more handouts, to make the populous more dependent-on, and accepting of, MORE taxes and more Government. And guess what Republicans, you aren't doing any better. Under the last x3 Republican Presidents - spending and deficits has gone through the roof. The Federal Government, with bi-partisan support, is planning to spend another $1.5-$2 trillion on stimulous funds that aren't proven to actually work. Both parties right now are talking about the difference between $1.5T and $2T in stimulus funding like it's a rounding error. NO, it's a big fucking deal. That's a TON of money!!! That's $500,000,000,000 (billion) in extra funding. $500 BILLION is x500,000 stacks of $1m dollar bundles. When are Americans going to wake up, and ask our politicians, on both sides of the aisle - to act like adults. Come up with some FAIR - flat tax that is easy to administer. Punitive tax rates - like 62% in these high costs states - are going to encourage people to do one of the following: 1) Move out of the state and eliminate much needed revenue. If I move to Texas- California gets 0% of my money at a time when they really need it! 2) Cheat more liberally and egregiously on their taxes. I mean, why not? If people are feeling cheated by having more than 50% of their earnings disappear to taxes, why not try to cheat right back? 3) Start a downward spiral of good citizens looking to abuse government programs in order to "get mine". If I work hard enough to get to a point where the government is rewarding my work by taking 62% of my money - why wouldn't I game the system to get free food, forgivable business loans, unemployment, and any other subsidy program I can hack to get some of my money back. This is already happening with the SNAP program. So, if you've made it this far, I will part with the following questions: 1) To my left leaning friends - what tax rate is "enough" - when will we hit a threshold where taking a certain percentage of a person's earnings goes from responsible citizen to effective a government shake-down? 2) To my right leaning friends - when are you going to force your party to commit to the "lower taxes / lower spending / lower deficit" values they claim to profess. When will that Tea-Party spirit come out and Republicans lead the charge into the tough conversations about cutting spending, programs, and subsidies? 3) To my Libertarian friends - How can we get these type of thoughts into the world without sounding like we are stark-raving-mad separatists?

Wake up. Do some research. Huey Freeman January 30 at 1:22 PM · The United States government---of the people, by the people, for the people---no longer exists. When Hunter Biden took $1.5 billion from the CCP, that meant Joe Biden was paid to go along with China. China was involved in every aspect of installing Biden in office, from unleashing the virus---which directly led to millions of mailed out ballots---to buying Dominion Voting Systems in October 2020. Destroying U.S. domestic gas and oil production impedes our military capabilities. Planes and tanks will not run on wind and solar power. Americans wake up. Our enemy has arrived inside our gates. Pray and seek God for our deliverance. It is not too late, but we must understand what is real and what is propaganda. The fear of Covid and the vaccines are all designed to control Americans. If you are wearing masks and voluntarily taking a vaccine, you are playing along with Beijing. If you believe mainstream media, you are being totally brainwashed. ###
