Growing up in a family of physicians gave Alex Yanovskiy, DPM, an immersion into patient care and the medical field from an early age. Because of his passion for patient-centric care, Dr. Yanovskiy had a desire to go into private practice and ultimately founded Illinois Foot & Ankle Clinic in Des Plaines, Illinois.
Dr. Yanovskiy completed his Doctor of Medicine degree in Russia and then relocated to the United States, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago.
Dr. Yanovskiy went through his internship, followed by a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago. Throughout his postdoctoral training, Dr. Yanovskiy excelled in both surgical and general podiatric care.
As a results-oriented provider, Dr. Yanovskiy believes in finding effective solutions to end each patient’s pain and suffering. He provides comprehensive preventive care and educates patients on their specific conditions and how to manage chronic issues.
Even though Dr. Yanovskiy can treat a wide variety of foot and ankle ailments, he has special interests in diabetic foot care, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, plantar warts, and sports injuries. Dr. Yanovskiy also enjoys caring for children and providing innovative pediatric foot care for congenital deformities, injuries, and developmental concerns young patients face.
An active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Diabetes Association, Dr. Yanovskiy regularly gives back to the next generation of doctors. When he’s away from the clinic, Dr. Yanovskiy teaches residency programs and allows new podiatrists to rotate through his office for their required training.
