Staffed with experienced and board-certified urologists, Illinois Urological Institute provides advanced urologic care to the diverse community in and around the western suburbs of Chicago. With two convenient locations in Wheaton and Geneva, Illinois, the team offers a broad range of in-office services to best serve their patients and help make the care provided more affordable.
The expert urologic surgeons provide advanced services, including leading-edge technology in prostate cancer treatment, incontinence therapy, and laparoscopic, laser, and microscopic surgical techniques for vasectomies and kidney stones. John G. Christensen, MD, is a MonaLisa Touch® specialist and provides treatment for vaginal rejuvenation and mild urinary incontinence. The urological experts also provide a range of treatment options to reduce symptoms in cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The team at Illinois Urological Institute emphasizes patient education and ensures select staff work full time with the incontinence, urodynamic, and pelvic floor therapy programs.
Each member of this close-knit medical group brings their specialty to the practice. Dr. Christensen started the practice in 1995, and John P. Plante, MD, joined him that same year. In 1999, Eric Lenting, MD, was welcomed aboard, and the practice expanded its services to include additional in-office procedures, urodynamics, and bladder training.
Michael Rashid, MD, an expert in minimally invasive and robotic and laparoscopic surgery, joined the practice in 2004, allowing the practice to offer a greater number of in-office procedures. Rebecca Guio, APN-B, specializes in prostate cancer, incontinence, and kidney stones and joined the team in 2014.
