After the Derecho hit on August 10th, it was important for ImOn to be able to communicate to our customers important information about the storm damage and work to get services restored. Many great organizations came together to help provide support for the HACAP Food Reservoir and United Way of East Central Iowa through the Brew Pub Pizza "Lottza Love Tour." ImOn Communications partnered with Hy-Vee, Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Alliant Energy, and Cedar Rapids Area Association of REALTORS® for this great fundraiser and together we raised $10,000!
ImOn Communications is pleased to announce our first ever Thanksgiving Card Design Contest. All area 3rd through 5th grade students are invited to submit an original design for the front of ImOn’s annual Thanksgiving card, which is sent to area businesses. Students can submit a 7.5” x 5.5” design that depicts the themes of Fall, Thanksgiving, or thankfulness. The design can include drawings, text, and/or original photography. Submissions will be accepted through October 22nd. The winning student and their classroom teacher will both receive $100. For more information and an entry form, visit www.MyImOn.com/DesignCard.
We wanted to thank everyone who submitted photos for the ImOn Calendar Photo Contest. Here is a look at the photos for September and October. The September photo was submitted by Cory Carpenter and features a rustic barn located outside Mt. Vernon. Unfortunately, the barn was destroyed in the derecho on August 10th. The October photo shows the rows of pumpkins at Bloomsbury Farm, outside of Atkins, and was submitted by Robert Lewis. The 2020-2021 Customer Calendar is now available at the ImOn Curbside Customer Care.

Did you hear? ImOn has launched free community Wi-Fi service in Chauncey Swan Park and the adjacent Chauncey Swan parking ramp in Iowa City. While initially developed for use at the Iowa City Farmers Market, the Wi-Fi network will be available year-round. Just look for the Wi-Fi network called "ImOn Free Wi-Fi." John is one of the original employees who started with ImOn when it was founded in March 2007. 2. When there is a major fiber cut, John must work with the field technicians to isolate the break and work to get it fixed as quickly as possible, even if it is in the middle of the night. 4. Eric served 12 years in the U.S. Army and was excited to meet Chuck Norris during one of his deployments. 3. While not working, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 kids, and 2 dogs. They enjoy hiking trails, playing sports, traveling, and lending a hand at church.

Quaker Oats is removing the old red neon Quaker Oats sign from the top of its building due to damage sustained during the August derecho. The company will be replacing the sign with a new, more modern LED sign, expected to be completed by this summer. The FREE 2021 Customer Calendar is still available for customers to pick up in the lobby of ImOn’s building at 101 3rd Avenue SW.

Amy has been with ImOn for 3 years and spends most of her time ensuring her team is providing the best possible customer experience. 2.
