At Improving Your Health, Robert Rubin, MD, specializes in treating his patients through functional medicine. The practice has two office locations conveniently located in both Tampa and Naples, Florida.
Dr. Rubin earned his medical degree from West Virginia School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
He spent the first 25 years of his medical career working in internal and geriatric medicine, successfully becoming one of Palm Beach County’s top-rated physicians. For four years, Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd. recognized him as one of the “Top Doctors” in South Florida.
However, Dr. Rubin grew tired of traditional medicine practices. Aiming to provide his patients with a higher quality of life, he shifted his focus to functional medicine. After completing a fellowship at the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, he became a member of the BodyLogicMD network of physicians who specialize in bioidentical hormone therapy.
Today, Dr. Rubin begins his clients’ functional medicine journey with diagnostic lab testing to understand better how their bodies function. He then discusses the lab results, their family and medical history, and any symptoms or quality of life changes they have.
This information enables Dr. Rubin to provide his clients with personalized treatment plans, often utilizing advanced therapies such as platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP), bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and shockwave therapy.
