Restoring/ reconditioning a vintage frame.
The rivets that fasten the hinges needed to be tightened down and peened over.
I use my vintage 'staking set' to do this.
Back in the day, frames (and other stuff) were built to last, to be repairable, not cheap and disposable..

Specialty/task-specific Eyewear
Made for an artist who does super realism art.
She gets very close to the canvas to inspect very fine detail, yet still needs to be able to see her subject in the distance.
Her usual progressive addition lenses did not work well for near as she had to crank her head waaay back to look through the reading portion of the lens.
To ease her neck strain, I designed a simple solution:
Use a plain 28mm bifocal segment placed up high to be directly in front of her eyes in primary gaze position, with a sliver of distance Rx above it so that she will still be able to view her subject by directing her eyes upward when needed!
A simple, yet elegant solution, making ease of vision and better quality of visual life!
I love coming up with unusual designs that no other opticians even think of!
